Who makes the best pappenheimer rapier?
I have read the reviews but I'd like to get other people's opinions on who currently makes the best pappenheimer rapier. Any thoughts on Arma Bohemia (http://www.armabohemia.cz ) out of the Czech Republic? -They seem to make a nice pappernheimer- I have seen their site but have not read anything about their quaility. TEMPL has amazing swords-a bit above my price range however. Just curious.

Thanks
I like my Darkwood Pappenheimer a lot. Its solid. And very well balanced.
Take a look at Vladimir Cervenka's work.

He has a web site. If you punch in "producer of swords" he will show up.

I really like his work!

All the best,

Richard.
ARMA Bohemia has been pretty good in my experience so far. I have a rondel dagger that is in the reviews section, a longsword w/ scabbard and suspension, and a sallet from them. It can take some time for custom(-ish) stuff to get produced depending on what they have going for shows and what not.

I do not have experience with their rapiers but some of them do look nice.

The products are good enough that I keep a close watch on what they have in stock.

Or just "Vladimir Cervenka", really.
I've been collecting repro Pappenheimers for a little while, and doing WMA with them.

One of my collection that I have not been subjecting to a weekly hammering in the salle, mainly because it is just too beautiful and well made, is my Cervenka Pappenheimer.

Patrick Barta makes the best, IMHO, and you certainly get what you pay for, but I cannot fault Cervenka - his prices are reasonable, quality is excellent, I didn't wait too long, and he kept me updated with photos at every stage of the manufacturing process.

I don't have any experience of Arma Bohemia, but the Pappenheimer on their site is stunning - I shall have to start saving my pennies!
Feedback on Armory Marek-pappenheimers
Thanks all for your replies. I have looked at the websites for Darkwood Armory and Vladmir Cervenka -its always nice to get feedback from people.

I found another company called Armory Marek (www.armorymarek.com) from the Czech Republic- this is another place that I have not read about. They also seem to make a few pappenheimers-the pictures of the pappenheimers on their website are so small though its hard to get much of an impression.

Does anyone know much about the quality of their swords?
