Greetings All,

I'm considering doing a reproduction of one of the riding swords pictured in the Antique Rapiers photo album. The one I am specifically referring to is at this link: http://www.myArmoury.com/albums/photo/868.html

My question is this, does anyone here have any more information on this piece? Weight, measurements, more pictures, or who I could get in contact with for more information, etc.... Any of these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matthew

Hello Matthew,

That picture is from the book Fine Arms & Armor: Treasures in the Dresden Collection by Johannes Schobel. If I recall correctly, that is the only picture of it featured in the book but it does contain the weight, measurements, and a description. I've checked the book out several times from my campus library. I believe forumite Allan Senefelder owns the book. If he sees this thread maybe he can help you out. If you would like me to, after next week (Spring Break) I can check it out & get a large scan for you.

regards,
Stephen

P.S.- welcome to myArmoury.com!

Stephen,

Thanks for the info and the welcome. It looks like the book is available at my local library, so I'll be able to sneak a peak at it in the next couple of days.

regards,
Matthew
