You'd have to have it made. Good photos here:

Re: where can i find a sword like this .
Just to clarify, you mean exactly like that one, or are you just after a Type XVIIIa with an extra long hilt?

Either way, I don't recall seeing anyone producing something like that. (Though I may be wrong.) But it doesn't looke like a very complicated piece to replicate.
...
Excellents pics Sean .. thanks ..

It would be the (very) little brother of the very large sword shown in the photo. If you like narrow thrusting swords you might like this.
try arms&armor they could probably make a custom one i think heres a similiar one in their custom gallery there website
is www.arms-n-armor.com albion has some two handers in production lso i believe
There was a Scottish swordmith who made some beautiful swords of that type i handled one very like that one and the balance was superb . He charged about £400 for one but that was a few years ago and the law on swords in Scotland has changed so I ddon'tknow if he is still in bbusiness

You might try hitting Livinghistory.co.uk going onto friends and gossip and trying to raise one of the Scottish groups and see if they know
Try Del Tin - follow this link to their 16th century page: http://www.deltin.net/16thc.htm

You might also look at the 2158 or 5154 on their 15th century page (just change the "6" to a "5" in the link).

These aren't exactly the same as what you've posted, but of a similar style/size.
Law hasn't changed in scotland yet ... we're hanging on. Hopefully the law will affect ONLY wall hanger katanas but no-one knows how the law is going to change. Our Govt tends to knee jerk reactions after bad publicity in the press and the law change is a reaction to 6 murders and 100 attacks with katanas over 5 years ... in comparison to the 10,000+ knife attacks which they can do nothing to stem. Sorry am ranting.

Was the scots swordsmith you had in mind ...

Taken a look at the Hanwei Lowlander Great Sword?

It's a bit different - curved cross with a side-ring and different blade geometry- but the dimensions and proportions seem pretty similar.
I saw one the other day at Warriors and Wonders in Vancouver, BC, Cambie & 17th.
Two handed (or three :) ) close to what the pic posted by OP looks like.

They do have a website, and the owner is a nice guy.

Hi George

I'm sorry I cant be sure it was some years ago at Temple Cressing the smith involved gave me a copy of a official warrant naming him sword smith to one of the clans It may have been the Wallis clan I cannot find it if I do I will post.

We are fighting the same sword ban crap in England with as little success lets be honest when did politicians listen to anyone the only time they care about people is when they want us to vote for them. The problem is that there is a real danger they will simply ban all swords as the easy option why should they care if they destroy re-enactment. See us English can rant with the best of them so feel free to enjoy.
Robin,
If the Pols effect a sword ban will the Horse Guards have to get carry permits for their Wilkinsons?
Or worse, just have hilts plugged into empty scabbards ala pipers with rubber sgain dubhs? A good
argument against the ban could be less of our (devalued) tourist dollars generated by a changing of
unarmed guards!

Hey, I realize this is off topic, but I just read up on the proposed sword ban. Very unfortunate that a few reckless individuals get to ruin it for the rest of the decent law-abiding citizens. Im sure that Im not the only one that is concerned with what is going on. It would be great if you guys from the UK would keep the rest of us updated on the proceedings.
