Cord wrapping
Hello,

I recently got to handle an Albion Meyer and I really liked what they used for the cord wrap. Anyone know what it is/ what it is called? And where I can get some.

I haven't liked what I've found so far for making cord wraps and have used para-cord because it at least works well.

Thanks,
Steven
If I'm not mistaken, its hemp cord. It can be found in any local craft or hobby shop. I know that JoAnn Fabrics and Hobby Lobby carry it; as do some Walmarts (look by the fabrics).
There seems to be a few tricks to it. I used hemp on a walking staff grip, and it left fibers embedded in the leather that I consider very difficult to remove. Peter Johnson had mentioned fine twine, sometimes found in stationary stores, as being his preference for the outer surface wrap.
