Just wanted to post notice of this. We have held off as long as we possibly could not having increased out prices since 2004 and taking the hit of the steadily increasing prices of our raw materials to keep the prices of our products stable, but with the doubling of the price of steel and brass in the last 16 months and the escalating cost of both wood and leather we are forced to increase our prices by 10% effective Monday, January 7th 2008.

4 years holding out was pretty good though. Wink Cool ( Like a long siege where you finally give up when the food supply is exhausted and the well has gone dry and you ran out of crossbow bolts, arrows and javelins. Oh, you also ate the horses, dogs, cats, rats, cockroaches in that order, and sold most of your reference library ! ....... Couldn't resist making my post a little more " colourful " and historically relevant ).

And 10% is like 2.5% a year: Maybe you should consider increasing your prices by around 2% or 3% every year to match inflation or increased costs of materials instead of letting it compound over many years just to avoid giving " sticker shock " by a sudden increase of 10% ? ( Which I consider reasonable by the way ).

Very reasonable! Now I have to decide whether I want to order anything prior to 1/10 Happy

It can't Exclamation It's called a mistake ....... Razz Laughing Out Loud Monday is the 7th, Thursday is the 10 and the next Monday is the 14th.

So the cut off date is either next Monday, or next Thursday or the following Monday if it has to be a Monday. Question Confused

Allan, I guess you will have to decide and fix ( edit ) your post here and on your site. Big Grin

Or I looked at the calander by the computer that my insurance agent sent me and its first page was December '07 not January '08 and I was to obtuse to notice. DHUUOOOO! Monday January 7th is the correct date, my appologies for the dopiness.

That truly would have been an "MT" (phonetically:EMPTY Laughing Out Loud) price increase. Being on a date that really didn't exist and all, or possibly in some strange and wonderful alternate universe in which we could pay with Monopoly money...

ps; Sorry Allan and Jean, couldn't resist the inherent humor Razz

Sorry to be uninformed, but is MT Mercenary's Tailor? I am not familiar with the term MT and that's the only link I see with those initials.

Thanks,

Terry
