Just finished two bearded axes: one small and one standard size.

Small Bearded Axe



- Two part construction
- Differential hardening: soft body/hard edge
- Edge is 4.625” (11.75 cm) from point to point
- 1 pound 8 oz (680 grams)

Standard Bearded Axe



- Two part construction
- Differential hardening: soft body/hard edge
- Edge is 5.875” from point to point
- 2 pounds 4.8 oz (1045 grams)
- $750 for the axe head only (plus shipping)
- $850 with hardwood haft (plus shipping)

Eric, that's beautiful work, wish I could afford it, but such is not the case. However, I wanted to mention that
Patrick Kelly emailed me some photos of him with the axe and pictures of just the axe alone that you made for him. OMG! Is that axe beautiful, a Danish War Axe exacting to the original that Patrick wanted it to replicate. I've also learned the huge amount of complexity involved in making such a high end authentic axe, the different steels involved, such as a softer steel for the body to absorb impact and the hard steel that the edge is made with, I believe 3 different types of steel all together?
Patrick explained to me a couple of months ago just how detailed and highly complexed it is to produce such an axe head as you have listed here! Considering what all has to be done, your price is Very fair Exclamation

I know who to go to when I want a real premium axe, that is for sure!
