She was an ardous one to deliver, but at last she is done.. Took about 65 hectic workhours.
Pollaxe inspired by/loosely based on the originals in the Wallace Collection, but also worked from other originals of less "knightly"-grade.
Forged from 1060 steel, hardened and tempered to hold a strong and sharp edge. Length ca 200cm, (head will end up around eyeheigh on the future owner). Weight ca 1,7kg.

I'd love to see it in action, after swinging a one metre 1.5kg mace and feeling noodle armed as a result one imagines that a 2 metre 1.5kg poleaxe would be a mighty beast to throw around, what cracking good fun.

It looks very sturdy too, with all that stee coming down the shaft , impresive to say the least

By the way that hammer like thing looks like a meat tenderiser, how's it supposed to work?

These wonderful polearms are also a strong influence on this one - details on how the head is alined, spikedetails, decorations etc..
