May be out of communication for a couple days. Windstorm coming in, Western WA already under high wind warnings, wind picking up in Bellingham already, heavy rain here. Not a big one, as say, the hurricanes that hit the gulf, but big enough to disrupt things..... forecast is for an inch or two of rain, and 55 mph gusts.......

Hi Sam

The wind event itself was fairly dry, but seemed to do in a couple of the larger trees in the area. Photos of what it looked like in the parking lot about 2:30 yesterday. Oddly enough, the power never went out, but the DSL got pretty flakey........

By 4PM the tree that was shedding these branches had lost several more, a couple of them 8 inches in diameter at the base. And yeah, they hit the building on the way down. Parking lot in this direction was a mat of branches and leaves.....

Power flickered a couple times, so I shut down and left. Actually seemed the last one in the park to leave......

Another system is coming in on top of this last one. High wind warnings already for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.......

Not supposed to be as challenging as yesterday's, but it probably means another day of tricky DSL, so please forgive late responses............

Gus,
Looks like someone was doing some cutting practice with those trees. We faired pretty well, a few downed trees and only lost power for a few minutes. I think its going to be a rough winter...
