New Scabbard styles-Castle Keep
I have just finished the first of my line of new scabbards,to compliment the Medieval styles.
All the fittings are hand made here by myself and cast in Sterling Silver, the body is ash, lined with felt, with a hand stitched calfskin wrap and stitched throat. The Fluer De Lis took some time to carve, but will compliment the Knights Sword. This is the PRINCE'S SCABBARD

They turned out very nicely. Both your swords and their trimmings are a pleasure to behold :)
Very nice work on the Prince's scabbard. The metal fittings are very pleasing. The leather work is also very well done. Can I ask what would be the price for the two types of scabbards you are presenting (regal / utilitarian) ?
Hugo,
I have yet to price these, but the basic scabbard will cost the same as the type that i have been making previously.i.e,around £140-£160,dependent on the Blade style.
The PRINCE'S scabbard is going to be around £350-425 i would think, bronze, steel or silver fittings dependent, also i will be incorporating some more personalized details into the leatherwork for Custom projects, more of which i shall post up within a month or so.
I have to give a nod to Greg Griggs, who makes some beautiful scabbards himself, and who really inspired me to get into this part of the work.It is really very hard to find people to make Scabbards, most have a waiting list longer than mine,so i have to take the initiative and pull my work up by the bootstraps on my own, glad to have done so too.
Rob,
You know how I feel, but have to say again that you've brought about your grand workmanship in a fine offering to make your swords even more desirable. Congrats a beautiful new addition to your wonderful stable.

Thanks Greg,
you only have yourself to blame you know,if you hadn't posted pics of your own Kit then i would never have risen to the task :D
