Hey Everyone,

Here is a tanto that was recently completed. The blade is forge-folded 1050/1095 with a nagasa of around 9" or so, and around 5/16" thick at the machi. The habaki is forged copper with texturing and filework. The blade was clay-coated and water quenched, with a salt tempering after.

The shira-saya is by Mike Virgadamo, and the hybrid polish by Brandon Thell of Forever Edge.com. Mike is an old hat at this stuff, but Brandon I feel is an up and comer. Most of the pieces that I'll be doing in the future will be sent to these two gentlemen for this type of work.
