For Sale: Tower of London Arms and Armour Books
This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active

Hello,

Both of these works are by the then Master of the Armouries Arthur Richard Dufty.

I am selling these as a set.

1) European Armour in the Tower of London. London: 1968. 16 pages of introductory material and then 164 crisp black and white plates (some plates contain more than one picture). Book in "Fair" condition (See note below). Dust Jacket present and covered with mylar.

ATTENTION: The lower right hand corner (facing the book) was at some time exposed to water. So the lower corner of each page ... defined roughly by a triangle with a base of 4 inches of the page and extending about two pages up the page has a wrinkled appearance. The wrinkling almost never reaches the plates and text and when it is close, it does not compromise the plates or text. Also these is a portion of the bottom corner of pg. 16 that is missing. The text ends on page 16 halfway down and there page 17 is blank ... so the content of the book is not affected by this. I hate to type so much "negative" stuff, but I want to let you know if I am aware of any problems with the books I sell.

2) European Swords and Daggers in the Tower of London. London: 1974. 35 pgs. of text and weapons descriptions followed by 105 plates of crisp black and white photos (some plates have more than one) and additional plates with makers marks. This book is in very good condition along with its dust jacket.

I am asking $160 for the PAIR (price includes packing/shipping/insurance in the lower 48).

Thanks!

- David
