Hi all - I did a search for leather scabbards, but didn't come up with the info I wanted, so here goes...
I'm simply wondering if the simple leather scabbard was used in the second half of the fourteenth century. I know most representations I see are wood-cored and leather covered, but I kind of lack the skills in woodworking to make one ( not to mention the patience!) That, and I've got some leather lying around I could use (veg-tan, of course!) I was thinking of doing a single-seam wrap-around scabbard. Your thoughts are welcome!Les Maîtres d'Armes
