question on flanged maces
I wanted to know what kind of pattern that would be nice for the type of mace that is attached below and if the pattern (hole pattern) would do something with the air resistance.
the attachment didn't come out and i'm not able to add pictures so if you want the picture to help it will not be possible. :mad:

Here is the Photoshop pic I did for Etienne. No holes in the drawing but he later asked me about what the holes could be like. I suggested small holes in a diamond pattern on each face.

As far as drag from air I don't think it is of any significance at the speed one can get a mace moving with one's arm.

Oh, I didn't draw the flanges that would be at an angle for the sake of clarity of the drawing.

Ihave another question for the '' mace lover''. What is the more suitable to make a mace core a pipe, a steel or iron bar or a part that come from a crowbar? I like the crowbar one personally but it's not the point anyway...
If you are going to chose from those three, go with the crowbar. Pipes and bars will bend a lot easier.
