First of all: Hi, i’m Michael and i’m new here.

I wanted to ask if anybody has experience with armours from bestarmour.com – i am member in an living-history club (www.ritterschlag.net) and we use our equipment in a way we think it is made for: we use it in, sometimes quite hard, fighting.
I’m going to buy a new armour in one or one and a half years and the most important things for me are authenticity, quality and price (i’m a student and as such i’m rather poor ;-)).
Price and authenticity are not the matter of my question – the prices are okay and they would fabricate everything i want (as written on the website) – but i don’t know anything about the quality of their products: do they fit (if correct measured)? what about the processing?

I would be thankful if someone could help me to satisfy my curiosity.

Hi Michael,
I myself have not had dealings with them but I know severals who have. overall they were excedingly happy with the final product, communication, and fit. they also use them for LH steel fighting. so their products are obviosly accurate enough for LH (living history). the only complaint I heard was the fit was almost "too good" meaning that it fit them truly perfectley with a samll liner. they mentioned that if they ordered again that they would give the measurements a little bit bigger just to add a little extra padding.

BTW last I heard they have at least a year long wait- so you migh want to get in their que now.

for your answer. the next months i'll be looking for some ideas and originate armours - after i have found my "dream panoply" i'm going to contact them -> as you wrote, that the latency is at least a year, i'll do that probably next winter.

I've got several pieces from BestArmour, (Kettlehatt, elbows and knees, gorget and pauldrons) and are quite happy with them.
I can certainly recomend them.

My group has a full suit, a bunch of helmets, and some other armor from them; we are satisfied with everything we have.
