Chad,

does it work with amazon uk? I had figured not but make occasional..... maybe more than occasional purchases on it. If you let me know I gladly will go through the site.

John J. Robinson's Dungeon, Fire, and Sword: The Knights Templar in the Crusades, has clear, vivid descriptions of many battles in the Middle East during the medieval period, although it is distinctly lacking in the pictures and maps you want.

Here's the link if you're interested anyway, but I'd advise hitting up local bookstores (new and used) before ordering online. I got my copy in the local Barnes and Noble's discount area for $10-half the price on Amazon, and a third of the list price.

Let me dig through my stuff (I've been busy moving, and haven't had time to unpack everything) and I'll see what else I can find.

Oh, East of sands and sunlit gulf, your blood is thin, your gods are few;
You could not break the Northern wolf and now the wolf has turned on you.
The fires that light the coasts of Spain fling shadows on the Eastern strand.
Master, your slave has come again with torch and axe in his right hand!
