Hello all
I was cleaning and oiling my Kukri today and it occurred to me that folks hereabouts might be able to help me identify/ translate the script on the back of the blade.
There are the two rune like characters near the bolster, followed by what appears to be a line of script. The back also has a good sized nick in it that looks interesting, wonder how it got there?
I got this from Atlanta cutlery over year and a half ago and tried to find a book to help me translate but came up empty. They say the piece is form over 90 years ago but couldn't give more specific details on it. It was found in one of several crates from the armoury they purchased several years ago. At 19 1/2 inches it certainly fits that time period.
The pics are sort of rough and ready as I didn't want to dig out my lights.

And in this moment...
I will not run, it is my place to stand
we few shall carry hope
within our bloodied hands
