Southern California Western Martial Arts Workshop
Attention all Western Martial Artists:

We are very pleased to announce that Schola San MarcoŽ of San Diego and die Schlachtschule of North Hollywood are combining forces to launch the first ever Southern California Western Martial Arts Workshop.

This workshop will take place on the weekend of 9-11 November 2007.

We presently are planning to offer introductory and masters classes in a number of Western traditions, featuring weapons from the longsword to rapier. In addition, there will be evening presentations detailing the Getty Fiore manuscript, the Doebringer/MS 3227a/Nuremberg text, and the Gladiatoria Fechtbuch.

We also hope to attract various vendors selling everything from swords to training gear.

A website will be up and running shortly. Until then we will post more information on this forum when it becomes available, but for now if you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to contact the workshop organizers, Brian Stokes (brian@scholasanmarco.org) or Hugh Knight (hughk1066@juno.com). A website will be established shortly and we will post the link to that as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you there!
Where will this event be taking place?

Near Ontario, CA (because it has a good-sized airport but isn't in LA); that's about 50 miles from Los Angeles.

Great, thank you. i'm about 140 miles north, but I think it'll be well worth the trip.

I take it the new site wil lhave more precise directions...
