Thanks for the images. If I'm reading this right, he puts his type 12 pommel (similar to Oakeshott's B) from 950-1100, and type 15 (similar to Oakeshott's A) from 1050-1275. Right? That sounds right to me.

I interpreted it as 950-1175, if the first column is 8th century, and last one is 13th century...

I'm still confused by European nomenclatue for centuries. Does the line marked 800 jh mean the year 800 or 700?

I'm just as confused as you are, so European nomenclature can't be the problem... ;)

But I think he means the start of the 8th. C., so 700 A.D....

Then the type 13 variant II should be 1200-1250 A.D.
