Hi everyone... today after winning a bid at an auction I started going thru the various things that I had won... I came across a replica helment, some arm covers (?) for lack of a better word on my part & several different leathers... I have found a serial number inside the items & a name stamped "Hughes, B?D"... We are curious now as to the type of helmet we have & where we might be able to look to find more information... I have ran different search engines but have not been able to find the information that I am looking for...

Any help would be great... For I have no idea what so ever... I do have a picture of the helmet which I hope I did right in attatching below...

We are still going thru all the items from the auction & hope to find more...

Thanks for takin a look & for any info that you may be able to provide me with...

Misty C.

Can't tell you who made it but it looks SCAish late 80's or more likely early 90's with maybe a spuntop bowel with cross straps to make it look like its made from four plates. Best guess.

I'll agree with Allan here. Looks like a spun top spangen-ish helm thing. I'm not familiar with any armorer's that include serial numbers on the inside of their products. Only place that I can think of that might use a serial number would maybe a prop shop or costume shop for inventory purposes. Do you have any pics of the arm armor?
