I just saw that Albion will be at the Atlanta Blade Show, too. It looks like a heck of a lineup. To name a few:

Vince Evans
Albion
Angel Sword
BladeArt
CAS Iberia
Cold Steel
Scotia MetalWorks

I think I'm going. Anyone else going to show up?

I'll be there, representing myArmoury.com.

Rick Barrett will be there, too.

It looks like I may have some free passes to give away, thanks to Albion Armorers.

Details to come...

I'll be there also, I believe Patrick Kelly said he was going to try to make it and Thomas Macdonald as well.

Kevin Cashen is also typically there. Daryl Meir came last year and I think that maybe Howard Clark did to
although I did not see him.

I believe the folks from Bugei also were there for demonstrations and stuff last year.

Rob Criswell is usually there. So is Tinker Pierce at the blade art booth. You can also typically check out
stuff from MRL and Sabersmith if you want.

All in all it is an excellent show.

I so do not like driving to Atlanta from Ohio but this is sooo tempting.

Anybody know if the bladeshow puts up an official attendee list anyplace?

I know I could google search but I'm being lazy! WTF?!

A shorter list might be, who's not having a table there.

I attended last year and it was one of the most rewarding experiences in my blade hobby. I'll be there this year also.

Try as I might I won't be able to make it to the Blade show this year. The scheduling is really screwing me up. Every summer my wife teaches summer school as a means to finance our yearly vacation. It just so happens that this is during the month of the show. If it was a month later it wouldn't be a problem,as it stands it's the worst possible timing for me.

I also have a lot of things going on right now that are taking up a lot of my time. Nothing drastic or earth shattering, but swords are taking a back seat right now to real world issues involving real people.

Now that is totally uncool. I was really looking forward to meeting you and Mac... oh well I guess I'll just have that table full of Evan's pieces all to myself... I'm very interested to see what Vince has on the table this year, I think last year he said something about making an effort to have some really cool stuff this year. Ironic since his stuff was some of the best at the show last year.

Could we possibly get a sticky with the blade show particulars? IE: Location (Atlanta is a big place...); date (which is provided here); perhaps a hotel where most of the myArmoury.com members could stay / meet / organize?

Just some thoughts.

My wife has a rich aunt that lives in Roswell,Ga, maybe I can talk her into going down to visit her aunt that week.
Would really love to go, fairly long haul for us from Va. plus I really hate Atlanta traffic, but getting to see all these blade-makers and have a chance to meet some of you fine gents...I think it would be well worth it.

I was able to pick up a VIP pass for Friday. Happy

Their site doesn't list the cost of passes to the show for the other days on the Information page (http://www.collect.com/shows/article.asp?id=24). Does anyone know where I can find that info? I'm sure it's not free.....

Chad,

From the info. I got, it's & $10 per day, $15 for a two day pass. or $20 for the whole week-end.
Had to e-mail them for the prices, I couldn't find it on the site either.

If i stopped buying swords for a while I would have enough to go...

Would be great to go somewhere for a nice little vacation, I've been working nearly 50 hour weeks for the last two months.

How can there be a perfect sword when PEOPLE come in all shapes and sizes too?

All of this talk about the Blade Show is making me angry that I can't attend this year (and a bit envious as well). On the other hand, my daughter and her husband have made the incredibly moronic decision (don't ask) to relocate to Dalton, which is about ninety miles from Atlanta. Maybe that will give me some extra incentive to make it next year!
