I everyone,
I received my new viking trainer (http://www.sword-gur.com/WEB/STRA/JEDNORUC/V005.htm) from Jan Motycka wednesday and put it to test yesterday night for a 3 hours I:33 training session.
The sword hold up very well even on hard-and-bad edge-on-edge parries. Absolutely no nicks after 3 hours. Plus, the sword looks great, is light and well balanced, is safe to use and give a good feeling of the other guy's blade while binding against the sword. Plus, its inexpensive (only 249 euros).
Fit and finish are pretty nice too. The sword looks modern made on pics, but not so much in hand. The suede wrap of the grip will probably worn out after some use, and the fuller is not entirely in the middle of blade (deviating by about one or two millimeter), but it's no big issue in my opinion. Overall it looks great.
It is my intend to order more swords from this guy (probably a nice longsword).

Congratulations on your new sword, Hugo. I am glad that it seems to be performing very well for you. The link that you posted connected to the V005 Viking Sword - Is that the sword that you purchased? The engraved pommel and cross guard look very nice.

Yes, my sword is model v005. A good sword for martial artists, viking reenactors and Clontarf nostalgics. 
I forgot to mention that the hilt compounds are forged (not casted) and that the pommel is two-piece construction. This is my first viking featuring this particularity. I'm curious to see how it will hold after extensive use.
In terms of performance, historical accuracy and appearance, I place this sword before my Armour Class viking.
Also, Jan is a very nice fellow who will answer questions fast, and his waiting list is pretty short (two months in my case).

I was wondering about the one-piece vs two-piece construction. Thanks for mentioning that. The engraving on the pommel and guard look very crisp, as well.

Yes, Jan is very talented for engraving, just take a look at his Taichi sword...
I can see a lot of hard work in there !
Micha : the J002 looks like a nice, reliable sword. Don't forget to post your impressions when you'll get it.
