I posted this here in Off-Topic because its not about any particular pieces od Harness. It never ceases to amaze me what you can find on the web........ although this article is in Russian, the enlargable images are from the "Society of Antiquaries of London" , 1911 .... here > http://tgorod.ru/index.php?topgroupid=2&g...ntentid=40 ..... just keep scrolling down and you'll see them.
Most of the other pages are for reading apart from some costume and effergy pics.
Enjoy !

Nice pics. Presumably this stuff used to belong to the Knights of St. John?

Underbart! Are these helmets from Rhodes possibly? Great stuff, the corroted milanese arms are a feast for the eyes (at least for mine..).
Dont think this belongs in the Off-topic.

Yep. It does. Merv has it right. He's posting a link elsewhere and not really a discussion about arms and armour. It's more of a "head's up pointer" rather than a discussion.
If he were to post the link and then start a discussion about things, then it would be about "historical arms and armour" but as it is, it's a discussion about a link/web-site.

That's armour from the Chalcis hoard. You can find an article about it here;
http://www.chronique.com/index.htm
If it doesn't come up right away, look in the list of "Favorites", and click on "Chalcis Hoard". Unfortunately, when I tried it, none of the photos worked. Hopefully, it was just my computer acting up.
