Here is a sneak peek at the Vassal hilt waxes. The first production waxes will be sent to the foundry early next week.

Very nice Howy. This is one that I've been very eager to see. I'm sure there will be quite a few happy new owners in the future.

Bob I guess you might be getting yours before the end of this year or sooner: I would expect that at this stage production must be imminent. ( Hoping sooner than later as the wait must be driving you crazy. Razz Laughing Out Loud )

With pre-orders I wonder how many are still left out of the 100 limited edition ?

Looking forward to seeing the finished product as it always end up much more interesting than the concept drawings.

You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

Howdy Jean, I am chomping at the bit! Actually since I went thru Kult of Athena I guess it would depend on when Ryan ordered the Vassal but I believe he ordered it immediately because he told me that it really grabbed him too and he wanted to offer it to his customers. It was only some days after that, that I told him I would buy it for sure. I "think" it's only a couple months off, but I could be totally wrong. All I know is I had this baby paid for taxes included a couple weeks ago and I can almost feel that gorgeous falchion in my hand as I sit here and type!
I've also ordered a campaign line scabbard and baldric for it in brown leather and steel. I love all my swords and every one of them are in my collection for keeps but there are only two other swords I frothed at the bit like this for and the were the German Bastard Sword (my very first sword) and the Claymore. The Berserkr I did not have to wait for at all. The money was electronically put in my account by my mother for my birthday and the next day I was at Kult of Athena at 10:am to get my sword, otherwise I'd of frothed at the bit like this for it too!
Although I did have a bit of a drooling problem waiting for the English Longsword and the Three Ring Rapier for only a couple of days though.

Actually, I'd say the Vassal is right up there with the German Bastard Sword in my own personal excitement!

The instant I laid eyes on the concept art for the first time of the Vassal I knew that I "had to have it"! No if and or buts about it!

Chomping!

I am going through the anticipation process that Patrick just got done with in regard to the Svante, in awaiting the forthcoming Vassal. Every day is another day closer to the delivery date of this masterpiece. I am starting to drive my wife nuts, instead of once a week, it's now becoming once a day that I just gotta say something to her about the Vassal.
When a sword finds it's way into my collection there is no escape! Laughing Out Loud What comes here, stays here!

As September arrives the anticipation increases.
