In the military area there are some quite nice pieces. One in particular caught my eye.

One handed (?) sword

That's quite long for those proportions or what do you think?

Yes, 1.2 meters does seem long for a single hand sword. Might that be a typographical error?

A couple of photos later in their slide show, I found this sword from the cover of Sir Richard Francis Burton's The Book of the Sword.

1.2 Meters is about 47", lets say 8" for handle and pommel gives a blade length of 39": So maybe at the upper range of a one hander ?

You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!
