Very nice indeed. Vince hasn't made an axe since he moved to Arizona. Something about his forge in wrong configuration to make an axe. So if you have one, treasure it. I think I'll go over to Nordic Knives now and see.

Nice, very nice.
Vince told me that he had made an axe for the original owner of my Scramasax. I wonder if this is it?
Wish I had the dinero.

The axe is sold. Wonder who the lucky $%&#@ is.
That was unbelievably fast considering the price. But then again, how many Vince Evans axes are there out there?

Them Vikings are a fast lot *g*
Wish I could say it was me ..... but I'm a victim of Old Man (not enough $now) Winter !
I mean I did have that panic "I want it, what bills should I not pay this month" thought go thru my head ;-)
But the girls ( wife & daughter ) talked me down *g*
I'd be cool if it was someone from here , as I'd luv to hear more about it !

What really upset me was that I got back on the site with a half a mind to buy it, since I don't have any girls to talk me down. It's just as well considering I *should* be saving money for Atlanta Blade Show. No no, I do not have any inside information about Vince or anyone else. I just *know* I'm going to end up buying something there, so I am bringing funds. Every time I attend a show I always end up buying something whether I plan for it or not. Resistance is futile.
I'm with you Mac. Would love to get a review from the new buyer.

Welllllll.... I admit it was me who bought the axe. Actually doing some trading, so it has worked out well. I saw it yesterday, and debated today until about 3:00 PM EST . I am not really into the Viking era , but I do have a thing for axes, and well it's a Vince Evans. Another boarding weapon I guess. I can't wait to get it in hand, or should I say hands considering it's size.

Congrats Ron!
That pattern of Axe is on my short list of must haves, fits right in with my main period of intrest.
Even though the price made me pause (for a non-pattern welded axe), I was really having too restrain myself from wipping out the plastic. I'm glad that you bought it, since that's the absolute last thing I need to do right now.

Hello My Brother of Turcael,
Glad to know that the Axe is staying in the "family." I said it before, what with the Cutlass, the Blunderbuss, the Turcael and now the Axe, you've become quite the seafaring weapon.
