While manufacturing of these mitten-gauntlets V. Behaim's drawing of the Caspar von Frundsberg's landsknecht armour (Germany, c. 1527) was used as a base. Original gauntlets have mail defence of the fingers which was replaced with the defence used in the classic mitten-gauntlets of that time.

Metal surface was aged in the Renaissance style to give the gauntlets the view of the original armours of XVI c.

Nifty and a nice photo too.

I second the request for a photo of the full harness if you have one.

You mean the photo of an original harness or the reconstructed one.
We have only the gauntlets to be recostructed.

The complete original harness, if you have a picture Happy
I guess it's a typical Landsknecht-harness with a big gorget and long tassets. Or a maximilian-style full harness?
