Any tips where one might find an affordable Klappvisor bascinet would be appriciated. Have gotten some mean sparring-swords and dont want to injure my current helmet, so i need an affordable fightinghelmet quite soon. Im looking for a pricerange of 300€ tops. The only place ive found so far is GDFB and they have it out of stock, so any tips are good.

(Not a very interesting thread i know, but where else might one get fast and insightful answers then here..)

Well I don't know how good it would be, but here's one I found:

The price looks reasonable if you are willing to work over the interenet with someone in Poland.

I had a helmet made by mr.Mardinus. They are good for training, but not too good for reenactment. The historical accuracy is not the best.(for egzample barbutas with visors Worried )

Do you know how his prices are like?
I really like how he has intergrated the linen-padding going over the shoulders, together with the maille, on 'klappvisier 3'. Gives it a very complete and "right " apperance. Impressed.

He has a good opinion.I saw some his helmets -and they looked OK.Users also told me that they have no problems with them.I don't know his prices-just e-mail him.I think klapvisier shouldn't be over 200-250 Euro.Maybe even less...
