|
|
I'm thinking about hosting an informal gathering for anyone in Ohio or the surrounding areas who wants to get together on May 6th. The weather may or may not be great, but show and tell is always fun.
This won't be an official Albion Round Table (you'll have to wait until Joe hosts his this summer in Columbus) but I'll be able to offer 5% off Albion NG swords ordered if you can't wait till Joe's party (where you'll get a better discount anyway).
Any interest out there? We'll call it a BYOTCM party (bring your own test cutting materials), though I'll have some pool noodles on hand. I'll also have some snacks and drinks around. If the weather holds, we'll fire up the grill, too.
If you're interested, please PM or email me. Also, take a minute and mark above that you'll be attending.

Sounds like fun, Chad! I'll check and see if I can make it. I might have a conflict. We would need to get a babysitter, in any case.
If I come, I'll leave the Sovereign at home...
(I'll let everyone speculate what I really mean by that )

I'll call it a go. Unless my wfe gripes at me between now and then, I should be free.
I think there are duplicates of all the swords I have (Regent and Landgraf), but I can bring the Halberd.
No duplicates of that!!

There's no Landgraf but there is a Sempach. If it's not too much trouble, I'd be curious to compare them side by side.

I should be able to pry it off the wall then.

Doug,
It would be great if you could make it. Hope to see you.

We're going to try to get a baby sitter. We haven't had much luck, though. Assuming we can come down, I'll bring the Borderwatch, the Merc Tailor arms/legs, armour and castings gauntlets, and my arming doublet, too. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like me to bring, but folks have probably seen everything else. Options include Viceroy, Knight, Stamford, and Al Massey anthropomorphic leafblade. There's no real point bringing the Sovereign or Regent.

Would love to be there but I may have a conflict that day. I'll know in a few days.

It's for anyone willing to make the drive from wherever they live. I'm in West Chester, just north of Cincy. Where are you located?

I'm only a 10-minute drive from Chad's. It's still a little early in the week to tell for sure, but I could possibly square it. I'll bring my usual toys (Albion Talhoffer, FirstGen Celt, DT2133, two Purpleheart wasters, A&A Black Prince & Schloss Erbach). -Ted

Well, it looks like 3 for sure, and three maybe's. Once I have a somewhat realistic head count, I'll know how much food to pick up, etc. Hope everyone can make it.

Just saw this since I haven't been checking in regularly. I won't be able to make this one, I'm scheduled to teach Saturday.

Probably around 2:00 or so, though earlier or later could work, too. The whole day is open right now.
