Course Four: Saracen Chicken and Fungus (leeks and mushrooms)
Course Five: Pies and Fritters
Course Six: Plate of dried fruits(raisons, figs, dates, candied orange rind, candied ginger, and Nucato)
Course Seven: Wafers and Hypocras

Many thiings were partially prepared at home - the tartlets (ravioli) were done up and ready to cook, the candied ginger and other treats were made at home, the cheese soup is made from a cheese/bread mixture that is like dough, then liquid is added, etc. Everything hot was cooked over a wood fire.
I was just kitchen help, by the way ...

Man, I missed MTA yet another year. You know, I've lived in VA my entire life, and I STILL haven't made it out to one of these!
Looks like you guys had a great time!

Yeah, I was thinking about you guys down there at MTA while I was freezing my butt off on Saturday during another anachronistic event: my local area cowboy action shoot.
Looks like you had some fun. I'll have to join you all next time.
