Helmets worn at Grunwald, 1410
I know that the houndskull visor bascinet with aventail was worn at Grunwald. Was the great bascinet also worn, and with which type of visor, pointed or rounded?
the hound i think was falling out in favor of the "pig faced" by then. also the great bas. was widely used.
I've heard that hound face basinet was very popular in german/teutonic forces-and was widely used till c.1430...

I think that polish forces used similar helmets-the influence of german style of armour was very strong in Poland.

I give You a picture of the reconstruction of basinet with "Siedlątków"style face-called after the place it was found.
