This last month an Eljay Ribbonhilt has become "unspoken for" {forgive my bad English, means hilt and sword are now mine}.
The big weakness I've had with these Eljay hilted swords is not having any when I make an event. With this sword now "open", I am taking it to 4W {a major three day WMA event in Seattle} the first weekend of March.
Since I'm not in any hurry to sell it, it'll likely accompany me to Atlanta in June.........

We really need to see a photograph of that sword.

Heya Roger
As soon as I get it done, I'll get it shot. In this incarnation, the hilt will be on a modified '1571 saber blade. One with a wider, deeper fuller.......
If it "survives" with me 'til Atlanta, I intend to have four blades of different types ready to mount in this hilt......

Eljay and I discussed events back in September/ October. At that time we had a plan in place to try and have a couple of pieces ready for this year's events. Well, with the problems that have occurred in Thailand as far as Eljay's schedule goes, my guess is that there won't be any extra hilts for events......
So, it might be a stroke of good luck this one fell thru, so we'll have one for a couple of events.......
