As far as lower-end production swords go, I really like the looks of the Generation 2 Irish Hand-and-a half. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on one.
The scabbard included is nothing special, but I do like the ring pommel and the spatulated cruciform.

I can't say I hate them, but they look flimsey to me. Give me a stout Petersen type S any day. I do like some of the guards, though, and the craftsmanship is certainly there.

I think flimsy might be a bit much. They do provide less counterbalance, resulting in a slightly blade-heavy design (i.e. more cutting power for the weight). Just my thoughts, and remember that I do like this kind of pommel, so that may be coloring my view.
