I have always had a love for statues and figurines that depict knights, vikings,ancient warriors, etc. A little over one month ago I ordered these two statues from Jeff Coleman. www.jeffcolemanstudios.com/knights.html Jeff's work has been offered by companies such as Museum Replicas Ltd. but I always like to deal with the source if possible.

Jeff immediately contacted me after the order was placed, and advised me of the one month delivery date. He also communicated with me several times during the process and kept me updated, and the statues arrived safely and on time. It can be hard to find artwork like this that isn't fantasy based and I was happy to come across these.

Overall I'm happy with the workmanship and detail on these statues and will probably order one or two more in the future.

Oh my! :eek: I like the Brother Knight!

The Brother Knight is my favorite of the two as well. The Crusader is probably my second favorite of the ones Jeff currently makes, and will probably be the next one I buy when/if. However, I didn't want two statues with a black & white cross-bearing theme. I went with Paladin's Honor specifically to provide color and contrast.

Jeff also sent me a print out of several photos of a late 12th cent. norman knight statue he did several years ago. Apparently it was made for a company that bought the rights then never produced it. It's a shame because it's a nice one too. Several times during our e-mail exchanges I've suggested that he really needs to do one of a Hastings era norman knight/miles. I've even hinted that it might be nice to paint the statues helmet and shield with a blue and white theme. ;)

You told me they were in, but you didn't say they looked that good. Good grief, now I have to keep Linda away from your place because she will either steal those or beg me to...well, you know.......hahahahahahahaaaa. You can let me have them anyway, since you have no place in your den to put them....come on, be a bud. It'll just be a "loan" ya' know, kind of like loaning to a museum.

I've admired the Lord of the Rings statues put out by Weta-Sideshow and have often thought it was a shame that no one did anything like that which was historically based.

Those are awesome figures! The photos are great too!

My first choice would have to be "Final Blow". The action captured in that statue is excellent.

Second choice would have to be "Crusader" since that era was my first exposure to specific, historically accurate arms and armor and will always hold a special significance to me.

There's something about the "Quest's End" figure that really appeals to me. His facial expression and body language speak to me. Too bad it's no longer available. I would like to have him come home and live with me. (Actually, it's a good thing he's no longer available, I can't afford him!)
