The German close helmet listed just below the one you posted a picture of is very nice, and in really good shape for an original. I would expect to see that in a museum rather than a private collection, or at an auction house. Only 25,000 euros!
And they have a copy of the Witches Hammer bound in human skin!

Seriously though, that Gothic breastplate is breathtaking (#211). There are a few swords that still look serviceable, too. It's amazing how well preserved some of those items are, especially the books. Thanks for showing us that, Russ.
Now if only I could find that extra 50,000 euros I left lying around somewhere the other day...

Oh, Lord, those reproduction Wheellocks! That Wheellock REVOLVER!!!! A mere 4200 Euro's... but hey, it's probably worth it! ( Lot Nr.1037)
Now to check into that line of credit on the house while my wife isn't looking...

Radfords work for items like this is simply outstanding, and quite simply there is no one to touch him that I know of for attention to detail. Note the little things like slightly uneven cutting of the hinges and the placement of the vervelles, the unevenness of the punched lining holes. He is well capapble of doing it neatly, but that would be wrong for an item like this.This is the work of a master ! Bob MacPherson is good, he is extremely good, but for items like this -replicas in the true sense, I think that Billy Radford is in a class of his own.
Now if anybody has a spare 2200 Euros they could lend me .........

Hi Aaron, good to see you back again mate !!
Yes, auctions like this are indeed torture, it was even worse when I was in London, because we had Christies, Bonhams, Sothebys etc. all these wonderful places where you could actually go and handle the sort of items that we see here. That was depressing, all these beautiful things that all want to be mine, if only one had money ! 
The worst time was when the second part of the Sir Frank Bowden sale came up at Christies, beautiful Japanese swords and armour, but in spite of the seriousness of the event with buyers from all over the world attending (including me of course ! ), I spent most of my time going round after people wiping their finger prints off of the swords !
Mind you if auctions like this are torture before they happen, they are even worse when you actually see the hammer down prices afterwards and think, ' Damn, I could have afforded that ' !! 
Oh well, save the pennies.....one day.........

As for the cost of shipping on these items. The last sword I bought from them, they shipped it throught Delta and it cost about $500.00 to be delivered to my door. Quite steep when you add the Euro exchange and the 20% auction charge!!!
