...five minutes of fame :)
I've been off-line for a while due to business with a new job. Glad to be back!

I took part in a knifemaking contest a while back ponsored by a video game maker (Gabe Newell). Blade Magazine (August Issue) published the article with most of the entries. I got a neat half-page color shot of mine. :D :D

3000 layer blade, fossil ivory, wrought iron and walnut for the handle in a Japanese influenced style. Cutting board is a solid hunk of cocbolo with cherry and mesquite edging.
Don,
Congrats on the write-up. I moved your topic here since other topics of this type by industry professionals are here as well.

:)
Very cool. Though I have to ask how many inquiries you've had for toast cutters. :D
Fine work,
Did i see this a while back with a right up from yourself and a few other's on Don's site, some nice item's.
:D Nice!
Migration age Pizza cutter, that one would be fun to dig down on Birka with some old coins.
I don't envision a new line of toast cutters...but I've been getting increasing inquiries on Japanese style blades. I'm sure this is partly due to several of the posts made way back when I was doing the original billet work for this one.

Several of the guys involved hang out at Don Fogg's site, so it's possible a write up was done there. We all submitted a short description of our project to Buddy who did the article for Blade.

Bill's "pizza cutter" was my favorite. The pattern on the wheel is pretty remarkable. I know I haven't been able to get one to come out that uniform yet!

Now, if I could just get te time to finish out all the Japanese and Migration era blades I have laying around, maybe I could get something a little more mainstream published! :D
That wheel how did you do that, center and out, is it engraved? :D
"A bunch of migrations swords just laying around like that !!!"
