Fantastic update!!!

The new bookreviews are very welcome, but not only that, a review of the Cup And Ring Baskethilt!! I've ordered this sword myself, though I still have to wait untill september/october.

Chad told me the review was coming, and now that I've read it, I'm very convident this sword will become a highlight of my collection. Happy

Great updates guys!! Chad, thank you for the review. Happy

This is really an excellent update !

I'd like to thank Gordon Clark for his great review of the Laird ! I've just received mine a few days ago and I can tell that everything is exactly as Gordon did write in his article, except maybe for the finish: my exemplar has some more minor casting flaws than the one reviewed but it adds character and prove that every sword (from Albion and elsewhere) is unique. And the Laird is trully unique among the other NextGen !

Cheers,

David

Although not a huge baskethilt fan, I found this group of feature articles very well done, top marks.

The whole myArmoury team deserves a lot of thanks for their dedication to improving the knowledge base of all sword enthusiasts. Top notch writing and photography continue to highlight these features. I always look forward to the new mailings.

Cheers

Thanks David!
You make a good point - I think that people often forget what "hand made" means, esp in the context of higher end production makers like Albion and Arms and Armor. The swords look so good that minor imperfections stand out. When you look at historic examples, it is clear that those swords were not generally "perfect" either.

Meant to do this earlier and never did...

Thanks goes out to Thomas McDonald and Gordon Frye for their additions to the Paper Armoury series and to Gordon Clark for his hands-on review.

Cheers
