We've hinted around about this for a while, so it is finally time to give you folks a preview of what we will be coming out with over the next year... More detail will follow as these swords are developed and put into production.

Big Grin

Howy... these are EXACTLY what I have been needing... er... looking for.

I'll be getting AT LEAST 3 of these... must have the longswords and the rapier. You are closing nearly every gap I have!

Mike... you're going to be busy taking orders on these. In fact... I'll be in touch, but you can log me in for these now!

Howy-

I was so excited I forgot 2 important questions.

What is the deposit on these - $150?

Can we start lining up? I mean... can we place pre-orders yet?

$150 it is, but Mike can make easier arrangements for multiple pre-orders.

Thanks for the feedback!

I've been waiting for these. I'll have a Liechtenauer, and perhaps an Epée de Guerre.

I'm almost sorry I bought a SL Bastard. Happy

Look very good.

Can't wait to see them when they are finished.

BTW some of the links on the page seem to direct to other swords right now instead of more detail on the sword in question.

Oooo... Eek! Cool Big Grin Exclamation

I see where a lot of my disposable (ha!) income is going to be heading.

Hey, these are Albion Marks... do they count towards the collector's club? I can see myself selling off swords to buy six of these alone!

The Meyer and Marxbruder (great name!) are must haves for me!

Hey Howie,
FYI, the link for the Meyer at the moment goes to the Baron's description.

I'm really liking that Liechtenauer, myself...

... and the Marxbruder...

... and the I.33...

... and the Silver...

...

*sigh*

Really like the looks of 'em. One little suggestion, though - the rapier master's name is spelled Capo Ferro, not Cappo-Ferro. Happy

Thanks to all for the corrections! Even the ARMA page lists him variously as "Capo Fero" and "Capo Ferro" -- my other sources must have been wrong as wel!

My apologies to all -- especially to the shade of the honorable Ridolfo!

Howy

Hey Bill!

Thanks for the kind words. And yes, they count.

And credit for the Marxbruder name goes to Gary Grzybek (he submitted it in the last "name that sword contest" and I loved it, but wanted to save it and use for a sword in this line instead.)

Best,

Howy

You may not have to -- we are fast tracking these on the R&D schedule, but we have said "Fall" to give ourselves some wiggle room... Rest assured that Peter, Eric, Steve, Jason and the rest of us will be burning some midnight oil to get these up and running as quickly as possible, while still getting them right.

Very nice stuff here, as usual. I'm pleased to see a philosophy here that, if it isn't new, is at least new to me. That is, the idea that the sword should feel the same as a sharp without actually looking exactly the same. In swordsmanship it would seem that such a philosophy is preferable to designing a similar looking sword that handles like a boat anchor. And yet, the sword forms themselves are still clearly recognizable. Nice work on this batch.
