After seeing the new baby at the Thomas McDonald Armoury (BTW congratulations on the gorgeous Claymore, Sergeant Mac), I wanted to see what else was abrewin' at Vince Evans's shop.
Got my answer the other day.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the pics. Any idea what that's going to be, and who it's for?
Oh, and there's something else a brewin' in those Arizona badlands...
Something inspired by the initials W.A....

Thanks guys!
Man, I love the pattern in that dirk blade. I bet the finished product will really be something to see. I'm sure that when that pommel finds a home it will be equally impressive.
I cjecked out Vince's website the other day Mac. I love that new S-hilt.

Here's a shot of the original WAS pommel , that shows just how good Vince is at capturing all the little details !
The Queen ( who owns the original) just might be a tad jealous *g* ;-)

Oh, sorry.
Greetings Alex,
The photos would be those of a new dirk Vince is working on, to be a companion piece to the Turcael I have custody of.
It is envisioned as a "workmanlike piece" (well, if you can get past the inate dressy nature of the pattern welded blade). No fancy jewels or knife and fork for this one.
I can't wait until Vince sends more "in progress" photos. I'll be sure to post them as I get them.
Steve
P.S. Niiiiice pommel.

Vince just e-mailed me the last in progress photo.
David, yes I did jump on this one immediately. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to see a doctor about getting stitched up.

Beautiful!
Congrats Stephen. I think this is my favorite of all of the dirks I've seen from Vince. I especially like the work on the pommel cap.

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words. Vince really deserves all the credit, as usual. I just had a vague idea as to what the dirk should look like and Vince took it from there. I can't wait until I pick up the real thing since, as some of you know, photos, as beautiful as they are, are nothing compared to the actual specimen.
Sergeant Mac,
Ah yes, "the other one." I wasted no time in securing that one, since I had wanted something like that for a long time. When the appropriate time comes, I will be posting pics of that as well.
