Anybody know anything about this pommel cap? Merovingian/Vendel is my guess. Where found? What animal is it representing? Thanks for taking the time.

Barrett, Are you sure it is a pommel cap? It looks a lot like a Viking age broach. Here are a couple from Hedeby:
