Very nice Holger....looks to have similar lines to an Albion Baron...cross looks a bit wider but the blade profile taper looks very similar. I mention this b/c my Baron is one of my favorite swords and this looks great!

Definitely! Great money for value.

Type XIIa from "In'Carius Craft"/Rafal Woszcyna ofPoland; very nice package for 700 Euro - scabbard and shipping included!

That is another great acquisition Holgar. For the price it is amazing looking. How long is the grip, about 20 cm? How is the handling of the sword?

24,5 cm pommel included, 18,5 cm grip only.
Completely forgot this one; arrived in mid november. Custom longsword made by Regenyei Armoury via their "longsword builder" tool on their website.

Blade length: 93 cm
Blade width at guard: 5,4 mm
Distal taper: from 6 mm at guard down to 3 mm near the tip

My new XIV/XVI from Incarius is ready to ship. This is my first one from Rafal, so I hope to write a review when time allows.

One of these for good measure and poor impulse control!

Looks similar to mine but a bastard - is the blade bit more narrow and longer? Mine is 78 x 7.4 cm.
Don't know yet. Don't have it yet. He's building up the scabbard and suspension system so about two weeks before it ships. I do suspect slightly narrow and slightly longer.
I am looking forward to hearing both of your thoughts on Rafal's work. After seeing the piece that Holger got my interest was piqued. He has a nice XIIa/XIIIa with a I1 pommel that I keep looking at.

His wife does the scabbard. He was telling me the project would be done in a week since July, but it didn't take so long, maybe a month, for the scabbard once the sword was done.
That's a really handsome sword- an interesting design.

When would you date it? Around 1320-1350 if I had to guess.

Jeremy, if you mean mine, its similar to 'Records' XIV.6, which Oakeshott dated to 1300.

Great stuff! I especially like the Single Edge Viking. I think it deserves it's own thread (hint, hint) ;)

I couldn't resist this prototype Type XIV arming sword trainer by Marek Tadeusz Helman of Bloss.pl
Rather long for the type (86cm blade) but very light at just 1000g.

Lovely simulator for I.33 play, although at least this example has very thin edges in some areas and is "uneven incarnate", so I'm only using it for paired drills and low-gear freeplay (Dimicator-style).
Does this even count as a sword, since it's blunt and all? :D
