Hello all,

It's infuriating: I had a citation a long while ago that I can't lay hand to now. I'm looking for a passage - I *think* it's 13th c. - regarding the legally accepted hierarchy of violence in self-defense with a sword; that is, at what level of threat are the pommel, flat of the blade, the edge, and, finally, the point, justifiable.

Can anyone help out here?

Best regards,
Christian
