Hi cant afford quality chainmail so wonder what you can do with aluminum mail?
Paint it? What else?

If it's butted-together rings, you might get two, maybe three good wears out of it before you start losing rings and the whole thing falls apart. After that, throw it in the trash. As Dan said, costume-wear only. No combat except for LARP swords and weapons, and I'd be careful even then. .....McM

Don't throw it out! I tend to agree that it's better for costume wear than anything historical, though. How about a nice steampunk vest? I was actually thinking of something like that, with a tailcoat and maybe a copper top hat. Hmmmmm.....

Why is aluminium mail cheaper than steel mail? Aluminium wire costs more than steel wire and they both take the same time to make.

I agree with you first the dame seller shipped the wrong size then when i put it on it falls apart
