That would sure be a great find, if an example still exists.
I think that such armor, integrated into a garment would be reused if the garment wore out or was damaged. Are there any examples of mail strips that would be appropriate for attaching to clothing?
Chances of finding surviving originals??? I'd say slim to none. This type of armor would surely have to been a 'one-shot deal'.
