Recently came across this sword, think its an 1853 Pattern sword, but has no marking except some Indian/Arabic letters near the hilt, can anybody help?

Looks like numbers. Could be 92, could be 29 (although I'd favour 92 given the usual direction of writing in Arabic and other languages that use the Arabic script).

I have been told it is Gujerati for 51, and that was its rack number, interesting item though

Well, I guess it can be 51 if it's not Arabic at all. I'm not familiar with the Gujarati script so I wouldn't be able to tell.
