I'm most interested in his less elaborate designs, but due to scarcity I'm interested in anything that may be available.

Thanks!

Still looking, please PM if you have one to sell, know of one for sale, or if you have any advice on finding one on the secondary market. I'm new to swords, but a lifelong weapons collector and a serious buyer for one of Mr. Barta's great swords.

Thanks!

I'm still looking for a Barta or similar quality sword. Prefer pattern welded blade and light to moderate hilt ornament. But open to whatever may be available.

Thanks,
Will

Monthly bump, and an update. Fate smiled on me, and I was able to buy Patrick's recreation of the Fetter Lane sword from the British Museum, one of my favorites. It is absolutely stunning and a true work art, sword #123 on Patrick's website if interested in photos.

I'm still looking for a classic Barta Viking age sword or two, and my plan is to book end the collection on the early side with the transitional Fetter Lane sword, and if I'm lucky have some representative later swords and a book end on the late side as well.

Thanks to all who've responded so far, and please let me know if you have one to sell!

Will

Monthly bump and another update. This month I was able to buy Patrick's recreation of the Lough Derg sword in the National Museum of Ireland. Sword #226 on his website. His swords are great in photos, and even better in-hand! So I now have early and late "bookends" for my collection, but still looking for examples of classic Viking Age swords from the meat of the era ~ 800-900 AD.

If you have one to sell, or any Barta sword to sell for that matter, I remain interested in anything available.

Thanks!
Will
