Love the way Brian does the "black letter" writing on his scabbards, especially the legend on that Chevalier.

Wow those are all just beautiful! How did you do the designs on the scabbard? I'm assuming you've tooled everything by hand but I happen to be curious about making larger stamps for designs like those so if you happened to use something like that I would be most curious for any info on it!

Thanks Sarah. Everything is pretty much hand tooled into the leather. Periodically, I use smaller stamps for pattern work, but the intricate designs are tooled by hand. 15 years of graphic design helps with layout, and 10 years of scabbard making has brought me this far. I'm still finding ways to improve however!
Here are a few more scabbards I've made recently -

Incredibly well done, Brian. Very tasteful.
It's hard to pick a favorite.

I would guess the A&A Edward III was a particular challenge given the sword itself. Yet you certainly nailed it.

Many thanks & keep them coming.

Regards, Jon
I have been remiss in not posting in this thread earlier. These are all works of art though I do two that stand out to me. The first is the one that you did for the Barrett Blades sword and dagger. The second is of course the one that you did for my John Lundemo sword. Superb work as always and the favorite and the favorite of the three rigs that you have done for me.

Looking forward to continuing to watch as you continue to grow as an artist!
Thanks for the feedback Scott. I look forward to our next commission together! and thank you Jon. The Edward scabbard is quite special to me.

Here are a few more I've done -
