Look what came in the mail today...

So I ordered two custom swords in 2015, 6 months apart, and they both arrived within a month in 2017. So it goes with this hobby. I won't have time for a review this weekend, but will try to get one up in the coming weeks.

Regards, JD

I love the un-boxing.....just like Christmas! :D Lucky dawg, you. :D .....McM
Lucky guy! I just love long-bladed swords. :D But you didn't choose to take a scabbard with that lovely piece of work?

Seeing this, I can't wait to see coming my falchion and custom type XIV ordered to Maciej some time ago!
That looks great! Can't wait for the review! :D

That's a long story. Originally we talked about a sword and scabbard, but after the delays I gave up on the scabbard. He did offer me a good price for one, but at this point I just wanted to get my hands on the sword.

And thanks Mark and J. Douglas.

- J. Douglas ;)
First I want to thank Doug for this commission but also for his patience and all important suggestions.
Must say that first I had some small problem with length - it was was a first sword. It was shorter because of the tip thickness I had to make it a little shorter. Then we have decided to go for a full length form design. But it was already winter, Christmas time and holidays... I have decided to make next two twin swords - very similar parameters both, you can see them here: http://artofswordmaking.com/public/photos/ori...296787.jpg
Finally one of them was almost exactly as our first design, with very long blade :)
Well - I`m very curious about Doug`s review and looking forward to read it.
That work shows that every commission is different - as well as every sword is different - and when it comes to work with craftsman hands - many things can happen :)
Once again: thank you Doug, and sorry about that delay. Hope you enjoy your new sword and we will talk about this yet!
Best wishes :)

Thanks Maciej. I've been rather busy lately, but coincidentally I am working on the review right now - should be up soon!
