When I saw the first pics of this, I was thinking that the guard and pommel looked a bit over-built and clunky. After seeing Nathan's post, I wouldn't be surprised if they are nearly spot-on for size and weight. A&A - I'm sorry I ever had any doubts! :(

So, Chris: how good are you with a chisel? ;) Or (to the experts out there) would decoration like that on the flat of the guard have been done with some sort of an acid etch?

Very cool piece - and I like your method for hanging. I have a nominal amount of available wall space, so might have to try that method for some of my collection - certainly more cost effective than the elaborate "hangers" you can purchase and install, and I have plenty of fishing line, which will be even more stealthy. :cool:
