Beautiful work as always, Tomek :)
From what we've seen of your work, TK, I have no doubt this will turn out just
beautiful ! B-)
Thank you colleagues.
I hope that I will do it well.
In my books I can not find the weight of the original katzbalger.
Can anyone help me?

Absolutely spectacular, TK ... What I know of this sword type is pretty much what I've
seen and read about here, but it looks to me like you've captured the historical spirit
and character just beautifully.

I also think evolving from doing curved sabers to other sword types shows us you're
interested in educating yourself, then growing and progressing as a sword maker
from that process.

Well done ! B-)
Wow, this is absolutely fantastic. This is probably the finest katzbalger I've ever seen so far. You're an artist !

Will you post some pics of the scabbard too?
Guillaume ok . I will send some pictures tomorrow.
Stunning. love the blade detailing in particular.

Nice chape too. Well actually its all great.

Tod
That is a very fine looking weapon. Nice that it has more of a point than many other katzbalgers.
Thank you all.
Yes, I hope and want to grow and learn. Cially period of renaissance.
Tod, your beautiful work was for me a pleasure and drive. Thank you.
Guillaume photos scabbard details for you.
Scabbard has made the latch, the blade will not fall out.
Fittings made of one piece and soldered.

That is incredible. 2 features that particularly grabbed my attention were the timber band in the grip with gold? trim at each end, as well as the little flower for the peen on the pommel. Then I saw the blade riccaso and thought that was also very well done. Then I noticed the file work on the grip and was impressed with that, so on and on. I think I have to exit this thread or come up with a way to buy this.
Seriously, it's a phenomenal piece. I love looking at it. I think you have a great eye for this time period, and your skill in making these weapons is very strong. It's very exciting to see you work with other renaissance weapons.

Whoever gets this will not be disappointed. As the owner of some of his other pieces I really can't recommend his work enough. I'm sorry I can't get it right now.
Now price of € 1850 with shipping. :)
