I'm not sure what the general opinions really are.
Seems mostly negative

Personally I can say they are great fun in their price range. Medium quality.

I've had 3 1796 sabers
One Neapolitan saber
A spear
The small sword
A tomahawk

All the swords and the spear has broken through use! But it was fun while they lasted

Even though the Polish saber will probably fail me as well I'd purchase it.
I guess I'm saying get one of their swords. Just don't expect to much
